Coffee

We have several types of coffee products, including Robusta coffee, Arabica coffee, and Luwak/Civet coffee. Arabica coffee (from the species Coffea Arabica) is one of the most widely consumed coffee varieties in the world. Robusta coffee (from the species Coffea Canephora) is one of the most common coffee varieties in the world. Luwak/Civet coffee comes from coffee beans that are eaten by civet cats.

ROBUSTA COFFEE

  • Origin: Typically found in tropical regions.
  • Plant: Coffea canephora.
  • Beans: Robusta coffee beans are more round and have more caffeine compared to Arabica. These beans tend to be more resistant to pests and diseases.
  • Flavor and Aroma: Robusta coffee tends to have a more bitter taste, less acidity, and a stronger aroma.
  • Caffeine Content: It usually contains more caffeine than Arabica.

ARABICA COFFEE

LUWAK/CIVET COFFEE

  • Origin: Also known as “civet coffee”, civet coffee is Arabica coffee that comes from beans that have been eaten and excreted by civets.

  • Flavor and Aroma: Civet coffee is known for its smooth taste, low acidity, and unique aroma produced through the civet’s digestive process.
  • Limited Availability: The production of civet coffee is limited and can be more expensive due to its unique process.

The Origin of Our Coffee Supply

We supply coffee sourced from local farmers in the Bondowoso region, East Java, Indonesia, which is one of the areas that has been cultivating this plant in Indonesia. Bondowoso coffee is renowned for growing in a region with geographical conditions suitable for coffee cultivation, such as a cool climate and fertile soil. Bondowoso coffee is often known for its distinctive taste and rich aroma. The quality of this coffee is highly appreciated by coffee enthusiasts. Bondowoso is one of the well known coffee producing regions in Indonesia.

The location of Bondowoso is suitable for coffee cultivation. Elevation, climate, and soil type play a crucial role. Typically, the ideal elevation for coffee cultivation ranges from 600 to 1800 meters above sea level, depending on the coffee variety. Some popular varieties include Arabica and Robusta. Good care, including adequate watering, fertilization, and protection against pests and diseases, is essential. Fertile soil conditions are of great importance.
